I'm Baaaaaaaaaack...

Did you miss me? Did you even notice I was gone?

Well, it seems Bopkatz noticed. Dude... I'm glad you missed me, but chill okay?
Yes, well... it's back to the old grind.

I've been at our Virginia State H.O.G. Rally and I had a blast! Three days and nights of bikes, buds, fun and general revelry. I don't think I slept 4 hours total the whole time. All my favorite buds were there... including Skinny Bitch, Baby Gurl and The Saint. Also some you haven't met yet, I'll be introducing them in the days to come.

I got to sing a little the first nite as there was a Karaoke Contest of sorts. It's a damned good thing it was on Thursday 'cause I lost my voice shortly after that from all the laughing and yelling.

Okay, gotta go back to work tomorrow. And I'm at a real Sleep Deficit, so I'm off to bed. I'll post more about the rally soon.

OH BTW (that's pc speak for "By The Way")... if you're ever in Lynchburg, VA, be sure to check out the Jazz Street Grill... FABULOUS FOOD!

Accolades...

WOW! I received this email today (names have been changed to protect... yada yada):

Morning Peg,
I wanted to let you and "Jim" know I successfully took the written motorcycle test at the DMV yesterday morning ( Monday). I am now a licensed motorcyclist in the great state of Virginia. As soon as I got home from there I completed a pre-inspection of my bike to make sure it has been staying worthy since I purchased it 3 months ago, back on April 8th. For the first time I went out for a short pleasant ride to celebrate and I don't think there could have been anything in this world that could take the smile off of my face from waiting soooooo long! I about tripled my mileage on the odometer. I am up to 18 miles now.WOW... the early break-in is 50 for my Sportster and then next step is 500. Guess the town where I live is going to see a lot more of me now.
I want to thank both you and Jim for the outstanding work you both did helping not only myself but all who were in your class. You both are "TOP GUN" in my book. My exact thoughts are even if I had not passed the course, the hands on training and instructions were priceless and well taught by the best people around!
Again, I wish to thank you both and want you all to know you have helped set in
stone the basic tools I need to be a good and safe motorcyclist.

Updates... motorcycles and massage

Whew.... busy weekend. I taught a motorcycle class and it was pretty good. But most of the students had a real fear of MOVING, more than 2 mph that is. Geez. Did you know that motorcycles don't like going slooooow? Nope, they sure don't... they tend to fall over when they go slow. Gravity... it's the LAW! Ah well, all but two students passed and the two that didn't were greatly improved by the end of the weekend. I hope they come back and take the class again.

A while ago I was whining (yes... WHINING) and then I forgot to update you. My Spa Night on Thursday was wonderful. I think he removed every hair on my body... well, not the ones on my head. And then the massage! Ah, it was fabulous!

I had gotten some bad news earlier in the day and I was feelin' pretty damned bad. But the massage made me feel much better. He virtually massaged my cares away.
... the man is a virtuoso, a true savant.

I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, she's a pepper.....

I like Diet Dr. Pepper. And I love new Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (now that's a mouthful)!
I have a very good friend, he's married to "Baby Gurl"... we call him "the saint" (that's a story for later... suffice it to say, being married to the Baby Gurl is a job unto itself).

Anyway, "the saint" tasted my Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (whew) and he made a awful face and now whenever he sees me drink the stuff he makes fun of me (it's okay dear reader, I can take it... I'm tough). Actually, I'd drink it now just to mess with him even if I didn't like it so much.

I found this cool product review blog today, The Impulsive Buy, and in it's archives is a review of ... you guessed it... Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.
So there, Mr. Saint... vindication!

I'm bummed out!
This Thursday should be my regular Spa Day but due to circumstances beyond anyone's control (so a bunch of punk kids have to graduate from highschool... so what?), it has to be postponed until next week. DAMN!
I've been thinking about it since... well... since the last time actually.

Have you ever found something you liked SO much that you wanted to do it everyday? Yet at the same time... you were afraid it would become blasé. So part of you pines away for that something and the other part of you is thrilled that the anticipation makes you virtually BUZZ with excitement. Ain't duality grand? Or... maybe it's schizophrenia!
